Essex Outdoor Activities provide a range of thrilling activities for children and adults. We are renowned for our unique quad bike trekking around 300 acres of farmland, tracks and woods.

We provide a range of outdoor pursuits and combined multi activity days for corporate entertainment, stag and hen parties, birthday parties, families, clubs, schools and colleges.

Located at The Secret Nuclear Bunker in Essex, near Brentwood, we are close and easy to access from surrounding areas including London and Kent.

Junior Quad Biking

For children ages 6-11 years old we can offer quad biking adventures with a difference. After being kitted out in helmets and hygiene helmet liners the children with start with a safety briefing and shown the controls of their easy to use automatic quad bikes. Our kids quad bikes are especially designed for the smaller riders. They will then start off on our fun and exciting quad bike track, which has rubber matting together with a safety bark surface (BS EN 1177), where they can get use to their quad bikes safety and instructed by our experienced quad bike marshals. As an added bonus, and usually unheard of for this age group, we then take the children on a special quad bike safari. (As long as the instructor is happy they are capable and confident enough to do so safely). A mini quad bike trek across the nearby fields and back truly gives the children a day they will never forget! A birthday room and party food can also be provided at £5pp. Group bookings start from just £99 for up to 6 children.

Junior Go Karting

Children love to get behind the wheel of our colourful electric powered karts. The activity is safely contained within our childrens track which has rubber matting and topped with safety bark (BS EN 1177), so the young party-goers can enjoy the thrill of driving for themselves in a totally secure and supervised environment.

The excitement of a real driving experience provides lots of adventurous yet safe fun. Minimum age for Go Karting is 4 years old and suitable for ages up to around 8 years or up to 5ft tall.

A go kart party is a fabulous ideal for any childrens party. Giving them an experience they will always remember. Fun and safe with the well known and top quality British Pacer Electric Go Karts. Quad Trekking

Come and experience an amazing quad biking adventure. Accompanied by an instructor you will be taken around 300 acres of farmland, tracks and woods that will test and improve your quad biking skills as you face the different terrains. Enjoy the scenery and wildlife as you ride along the tracks rabbits, pheasants and you may even see the deer!

Once you have your helmet all sessions will start with a safety briefing and introduction to your quad bike where all controls and techniques are covered. You will then have a chance to practise what you have learnt before starting your quad bike trek! Minimum age 12 years old.

Our quadbiking is suitable for all ability levels so don’t worry if you have never even seen a quad bike before. Quad biking is quick and easy to learn and together with our fleet of new quad bikes you will be speeding in no time! Our prices start from an amazing £30pp.

High Ropes

An amazing and massive high ropes adventure course. This high ropes assault course has 5 courses on 3 levels so there is something for everyone. Challenge yourself for up to 2&1/2 hours on the different rope courses, the climbing wall, zip wires and the free fall fan descender for that ultimate adrenaline rush!

Airsoft and Paintball

For the over 12’s. A UKPSF accredited site purpose built in over 40 acres of woodland and is the premier paintball site in Essex. Paintball is currently one of the fastest growing sports in Europe, scenario based and adrenaline charged, it is a day you will defiantly enjoy. Great for team building and an excellent day out. Together with Quadbiking it is one of the most popular activities for corporate days out, Stag and Hen dos and large group outings.

Archery and Air Rifle Shooting

These great target shooting activities can be arranged as an activity on its own or combined. Feeling competitive? We can arrange competitions including medals if required which is great for those team building and corporate days.

Water Zorbing

Walk, Run and Flip on water! A must for everyone and great if you are looking for something that bit different!

Caving/Tunnelling

Purpose built artificial tunnelling system is a great new adventure – find your way around in the dark, try your hand at orienteering too. Look out for the ladders leading up from the bunker tunnels and listen carefully to see if you can hear any ghosts? We provide disposable overalls and helmets but please be aware you may still get dusty or dirty taking part in this activity. In particular we strongly recommend that you don’t wear new/best trainers/shoes as there is a fair amount of crawling involved.

The Secret Nuclear Bunker Tour

Inside a rural bungalow nestling in the Essex countryside lies the twilight world of the Government Cold War. Behind the blast screens that protect this bungalow is the entrance to an amazing labyrinth of rooms built into a hillside, encased in 10 feet thick reinforced concrete, 75 feet underground! This is where devolved central government and military commanders would have run the region had the UK been attacked and nuclear war broken out. Built in great secrecy and under strict, military security the local villagers and contractors alike knew nothing of what was concealed in this hillside or how it would be used.
