Kerri Wolter: Leading the Fight for Africa’s Vultures with Vulpro at Hadlow College AMU

Location: Hadlow college AMU04 (animal management unit)  Ashes Lane, Hadlow, Tonbridge, Kent, TN11 0AN

VulPro is a South African vulture conservation organisation founded by Kerri Wolter that rescues, rehabilitates, breeds, tags, and releases vultures, while also using education and research to protect wild populations. It has grown into a major conservation effort with hands-on fieldwork, public outreach, and volunteer opportunities.

For people interested in careers in conservation, VulPro is a strong example of how conservation work can include rescue, rehabilitation, field surveys, breeding programmes, education, and community engagement. It also shows that conservation careers do not have to be purely academic; they can be very hands-on and involve working directly with animals, volunteers, and local communities.

Event is open to all.
